Ironwood Hinge Box with Silver Cougar and Turquoise Accents bird Blast off with this astronautArtist Larry Favorite was a mechanical engineer on the fast track for success in the business world back in the early 1970s when he decided to leave his business career to pursue a growing interest in art. Forty five years later, Favorite continues to work exclusively with desert ironwood which is only found in the Sonoran Desert in the American southwest. Some of this rare wood has lain dead in the desert between 200 and 1,500 years. Favorite inlays
