I'm open to that argument, but first and foremost I see it as something additive, not necessarily transformative, meaning that this should be seen as something completely different, and at the same time I would never dream of collecting physical Pokmon cards, but getting a notification on my phone that I can open a digital pack twice a day
Her role in the games was a key plot point, and made her a memorable and beloved character to many
I did not see this card type coming, and the beautiful variety of styles is dramatically enriching what a Trainer card can offer
It also comes with the added benefit of putting a +1/+1 counter on it each time one of your creatures enters the battlefield so that you can put a bit of extra pressure on your opponents
