Frongoch Pawl Year:1 YR Lindley in 1831 called itA bitter Welsh cider apple, good for blending. Small, round fruit, green with pink flush and some russet. Found growing in an old orchard with other varieties near Frongoch Farm near Aberystwyth. Brought to the attention of Danny Thorogood at Aberystwyth University by Paul Evans who lived on the farm and remembered the tree from his childhood.
